Reducing waste is at the heart of pic&sis. Our product is designed for that very purpose! We are continually exploring ways to reduce the amount of waste we create as a business to limit our impact on the environment.

Our picmecup cartons are made from a mixture of materials from FSC-certified forests, recycled materials, and/or FSC-controlled wood. Our eco-friendly kraft paper packaging tape makes recycling your boxes easier and our printed stamp gives that personal touch to our deliveries, without creating the waste that stickers do. We recycle as much of the waste we produce as we can and reuse where possible.

Ruth is trained in Carbon Literacy which means having an acredited "awareness of the carbon dioxide costs and impacts of everyday activities, and the ability and motivation to reduce emissions, on an individual, community and organisational basis.” (Source: https://carbonliteracy.com/). To reduce our carbon emissions, we source from small and local suppliers wherever possible, but as a small start-up this is not always possible.
