Which size picmecup should I buy?
The size of menstrual cup you should buy depends on whether you have had children and your age, not the heaviness of your flow. Please follow the guidelines below:
Extra small – recommended for teenagers
Small – recommended for women between 20 and 30 years old who have not given birth
Large – recommended for women over 30 years old or who have given birth

How high up should the picmecup be inserted?
The picmecup should be inserted as low as feels comfortable in your vagina. When it unfolds inside you, it will create a delicate seal with the vagina walls. Blood from the cervix will flow down and collect in the cup. There shouldn't be any of the stem poking out of you
How do I clean the picmecup?
Looking after your picmecup menstrual cup is super quick and easy. At the start of each period cycle, simply place in a pan of boiling water for five minutes. During use, just empty into a toilet or sink, rinse and reinsert. If you’re not near a sink, empty it into the loo, wipe with toilet paper and reinsert. When you are not using your picmecup, keep it safely tucked in its convenient little pouch. I only need to be sterilised at the start of each cycle
Can I use the picmecup at night?
Yes! The picmecup can be worn for up to 12 hours so perfect for nightime!
Can I use the picmecup whilst exercising?
Yes! The picmecup is perfect for exercise!
Is there a risk of Toxic Shock Syndrome?
The use of internal sanitary products such as tampons and menstrual cups carries the risk of TSS, a rare but serious illness that can be fatal. If you experience any sympoms such as a high temperature, nausea, flu-like symptoms, diarrhoea, a sunburn-like rash, dizziness or fainting please discontinue use and consult a doctor.

Will my picmecup leak?
As long as you choose the correct size, the picmecup has been inserted correctly and popped open to create a seal, you should not experience leakage. If you do, this may be because the cup is too small or it has not popped open correctly. You can use your finger to run gently around the rim and check that the cup is completely open or lightly twist the cup around by its base

Can I use the picmecup with an IUD?
If you use a IUD, we always recommend consulting with a doctor first before trying out a menstrual cup
Can I use the picmecup is I have had a prolapse
According to the NHS website "pelvic organ prolapse is when 1 or more of the organs in the pelvis slip down from their normal position and bulge into the vagina." If you have this condition, please speak to a medical professional before deciding if using a menstrual cup is right for you
Will the picmecup protect against STIs?
Absolutely not. The picmecup menstrual cup does not prevent the transmission of sexualy transmitted infections
Can the picmecup be worn during sexual intercourse?
Absolutely not. The picmecup menstrual cup needs to be removed during sexual intercourse
Will the picmecup prevent pregnancy?
Absolutely not. The picmecup menstrual cup will not prevent the risk of pregancy
